Get Darkrai for Pokemon Black and White versions now!

DarkraiBeginning today, The Pokémon Company International is giving fans several ways to experience and wield the nightmarish powers of the Mythical Dark-type Pokémon Darkrai. Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version video game players can now get a Level 50 Darkrai through a special character distribution via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service. This Darkrai, available until June 10th, knows the Dark Void attack that makes opposing Pokémon sleep, leaving them practically defenceless. Even greater nightmares await your opponent when Darkrai’s Bad Dreams Ability takes effect—the sleeping Pokémon will take damage every turn! Combine this with Darkrai’s Nightmare and Faint Attack moves, and your opponents’ Pokémon will have bad dreams they won’t soon forget.

To participate in the Darkrai character distribution event via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service, players will need:
• Wireless broadband Internet access
• A Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DSi XL, or Nintendo 3DS system
• A copy of the Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version game
• No more than 11 Wonder Cards in their possession

Explore Endless Space in new game for PC

Independent videogames publisher Iceberg Interactive has announced its publishing agreement for Endless Space, the highly anticipated 4x space strategy game for PC, with Paris-based videogames developer Amplitude Studios. Recently released by Amplitude for pre-order on Steam, Iceberg will now be bringing the game to other digital download portals over the coming weeks and has set a retail release date of 24 August 2012.

The game will be a space strategy game, with stunning graphics, and absorbing storyline and a host of features including,

Microsoft Confirms $99 Subscription-based Xbox 360

According to Gameinformer, “Microsoft today confirmed a $99 subscription-based console available at its U.S. stores. In order to redeem the deal, you must bring the coupon seen here to a participating Microsoft store.

The deal requires customers to sign up for a 2-year subscription to Xbox Live Gold at $14.99 per month. The console is a 4GB Xbox 360 and includes Kinect.”

New video of The Testament of Sherlock Holmes

Focus Home Interactive, the makers of the upcoming title The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, have announced a release date:  September this year.  The game will be available on release for PC,PS3 and X360.  The game will be playable with a gamepad in a 3rd person view.

New Pinball Game based on The Avengers

If you’re a fan of the recently released Avengers movie, then you’ll be sure to be a fan of Zen Studios pinball knockoff.  Marvel’s The Avengers will release as part of Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles, a brand new four-table pack for Pinball FX2 on Xbox LIVE Arcade, and Zen Pinball 2 on PlayStation3 and PlayStationVita.

“The Avengers table was developed with digital assets taken directly from Marvel Entertainment’s The Avengers movie. Sniper Elite V2 in stores now

505 Games and independent game developer Rebellion today announced that Sniper Elite V2 has shipped to retail outlets. The game is a 3rd person tactical shooter set in the dying days of World War II.  Players take on the role of undercover American OSS agent Karl Fairburne who must stalk enemy prey across key historical locations throughout Berlin and attempt to unravel the mysteries and dangers of the German V-2 rocket program before it falls into the hands of Stalin’s Red Army.

New anime video of Nintendo’s Kid Icarus

A new anime compilation video for Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Kid Icarus: Uprising launched exclusively on Nintendo 3DS on 23rd March. The two multiplayer modes can be played against other Nintendo 3DS owners ‘Nearby’ via a local wireless connection or ‘Far Away’ via an internet connection.  The two modes include Light vs Dark, where up to six players create two teams to fight against each other, and Free-for-All, where it is every player for themselves.

The Elder Scrolls Online? Yes you heard right!

Bethesda Softworks today announced The Elder Scrolls Online, an MMO in development at ZeniMax Online Studios. The Elder Scrolls Online will be the first Elder Scrolls game to allow gamers to explore the legendary Elder Scrolls world with others.

The Elder Scrolls Online is being developed for PC and Mac under the leadership of industry veteran Matt Firor, who has spent the last two decades working in online game development. Details about the game are revealed in an exclusive cover story in Game Informer’s June issue, which ships to subscribers and newsstands this month.

“We have been working hard to create an online world in which players will be able to experience the epic Elder Scrolls universe with their friends, something fans have long said they wanted,” said Matt Firor, game director of The Elder Scrolls Online. “It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years. The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made – and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.”
