Get Darkrai for Pokemon Black and White versions now!

DarkraiBeginning today, The Pokémon Company International is giving fans several ways to experience and wield the nightmarish powers of the Mythical Dark-type Pokémon Darkrai. Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version video game players can now get a Level 50 Darkrai through a special character distribution via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service. This Darkrai, available until June 10th, knows the Dark Void attack that makes opposing Pokémon sleep, leaving them practically defenceless. Even greater nightmares await your opponent when Darkrai’s Bad Dreams Ability takes effect—the sleeping Pokémon will take damage every turn! Combine this with Darkrai’s Nightmare and Faint Attack moves, and your opponents’ Pokémon will have bad dreams they won’t soon forget.

To participate in the Darkrai character distribution event via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service, players will need:
• Wireless broadband Internet access
• A Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DSi XL, or Nintendo 3DS system
• A copy of the Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version game
• No more than 11 Wonder Cards in their possession

New anime video of Nintendo’s Kid Icarus

A new anime compilation video for Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Kid Icarus: Uprising launched exclusively on Nintendo 3DS on 23rd March. The two multiplayer modes can be played against other Nintendo 3DS owners ‘Nearby’ via a local wireless connection or ‘Far Away’ via an internet connection.  The two modes include Light vs Dark, where up to six players create two teams to fight against each other, and Free-for-All, where it is every player for themselves.

Even more Mario Tennis Open details (3DS)

Nintendo have released a raft of new details about it’s upcoming title Mario Tennis Open, due for release on May 25.  In addition to the variety of fun tennis games with a Mario twist in Special Games mode, fans will be able to connect with friends for online matches, enjoy new StreetPass features and unlock bonus game characters through game play and special QR Codes.

Fun features of the game include:

• Online Play: Mario Tennis Open players can compete and cooperate in local wireless matches with other opponents and play exhilarating games. Players can also build up their Open Match standings, check the monthly leaderboard and win Victory Medals from every challenger they defeat.

• Ink Showdown: In this fast-paced competition, Piranha Plants spit ink balls from the back edge of the court. Players must destroy the ink balls before they splatter, while hitting tennis balls away from an opponent.

• StreetPass Features: Players can inspire friendly competition by using the Nintendo 3DS system’s StreetPass feature. They can engage in competitive StreetPass Matches or cooperative Ring Shot challenges with computer-controlled versions of people they encounter and share their StreetPass winning streak. StreetPass can also be used to show off players’ Mii characters, which can be customized with new outfits and accessories that can improve their on-court performance. As users play, new items for their Mii will be unlocked in the Item Shop.

• Unlockable Characters: New and familiar Nintendo characters can be unlocked – some through game play, others via special QR Codes. Unlockable characters include Luma, Baby Mario and Dry Bowser.

Midnight Purple 3DS coming (DS)

Casual GamerNintendo have announced plans to release a new “Midnight Purple” 3DS.

The new 3DS, offered at a suggested retail price of $169.99 in the United States, becomes the fifth color in the always-stylish Nintendo 3DS color palette, joining Cosmo Black, Aqua Blue, Flame Red and Pearl Pink. Now fans have another option to customize the look of their systems to suit their individual styles and personalities.

The new color will launch May 20, the same day  Mario Tennis Open becomes available.

FIFA Soccer 12 was chosen as “Best Console Game” last month at Gamescom, and winner of the prestigious E3 Game Critics award for “Best Sports Game” at E3 2011, FIFA Soccer 12 will be in stores on September 27 in North America and September 30 worldwide. Fans who purchase EA SPORTS Season Ticket will get full-game digital access to FIFA 12 three days in advance of launch.

A full playable demo of FIFA 12 will be available on Sept. 13 for the PlayStation3  at the PLAYSTATION Store, for the Xbox 360 by Xbox Live Gold Members from Xbox Live Marketplace, and for PC at www.orgin.com.

LEGO Harry Potter: Yrs 5-7 to be released on almost every game platform known to man

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and the LEGO Group have announced that LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, the follow-up to the hit game LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, will be available Q4 2011 for the Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, the Next Generation Portable system, the Wii, DS, 3DS and PC.

Based on the last three Harry Potter books and final four films, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 takes players through Harry Potter’s heroic adventures in the Muggle and wizarding worlds. From Privet Drive in Little Whinging to Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade and Hogwarts – plus new locations including Grimmauld Place, the Ministry of Magic, and Godric’s Hollow – players will encounter new faces, new challenges and new magic, preparing them for the ultimate face-off against Lord Voldemort.

Duke Nukem: Critical Mass release date for DS

Apogee Software today announced the release date for the upcoming action title Duke Nukem: Critical Mass celebrating Duke Nukem’s long overdue return to the gaming world and his first ever adventure for the Nintendo DS. It will be released on May 25th in North America.

Duke is sent into the future; a future of total chaos and disaster where humankind has been nearly wiped out, all the babes have been captured and enslaved, and aliens rule with an iron fist; a world in trouble with horrendous monsters, alien pig cops, ridiculously oversized bosses and, of course, beautiful, scantily-clad babes galore – this game has all the ingredients a serious Duke Nukem fan needs.
