If you’ve ever wanted to be John Wick, your chance is coming. John Wick Hex is coming to consoles, PC and Mac, and it’ll be an action strategy paired with the choreographed gun fu style of the first two John Wick movies. The next movie, John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum, will be released worldwide on 17 May this year.
The video game will be published by Good Shepherd Entertainment in partnership with Lionsgate, and will be playable on PS4, Xbox One, as well as PC and Mac exclusively on Epic Games Store when launched.
Rather than being based on events from the previous movies, John Wick Hex will have a unique story that players can follow, with every attack and decision affecting the outcome of events. The game will look as slick as the movies, with a noir art design, and players will be immersed in the world of the hired assassin, with all successfully completed jobs adding to their progress.
The game will feature:
- Levelling up will provide access to new weapons, suit options and new regions to explore
- Unique weapons that will affect the way players approach game objectives
- Finite ammo with realistic timing and recoil simulations, making players think carefully about how and when they use weapons
No release date has been announced at this point, but we do know that John Wick Hex will feature the voice talents of Ian McShane and Lance Reddick, with other actors to be revealed closer to the launch. For more information visit JohnWickHex.com or check out the announcement video below.
