Crysis 3 Release Date, Screens and Details

Just to give you a heads up – you might want to clear your calendar for the (Northern) Spring next year. Why? Only the biggest game release for 2013!

Yes, Crysis 3 will be powering up next year. Players take on the role of ‘Prophet’ as he returns to New York, only to discover that the city has been encased in a Nanodome created by the corrupt Cell Corporation. The New York City Liberty Dome is a veritable urban rainforest teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers. Within the Liberty Dome, seven distinct and treacherous environments become known as the Seven Wonders. This dangerous new world demands advanced weapons and tactics. Prophet will utilize a lethal composite bow, an enhanced Nanosuit and devastating alien tech to become the deadliest hunter on the planet.

Set in 2047, Prophet is on a revenge mission after uncovering the truth behind Cell Corporation’s motives for building the quarantined Nanodomes. The citizens were told that the giant citywide structures were resurrected to protect the population and to cleanse these metropolises of the remnants of Ceph forces. In reality, the Nanodomes are CELL’s covert attempt at a land and technology grab in their quest for global domination. With Alien Ceph lurking around every corner and human enemies on the attack, nobody is safe in the path of vengeance. Everyone is a target in Prophet’s quest for retribution.

Diablo III Australian Pre-orders in Trouble

If you’re an Australian, and have pre-ordered Diablo III from video game retailer GAME, your chances of actually receiving it may be slim. As of yesterday the company was in voluntary administration. This means that customers with pre-orders may be affected, while those holding GAME gift cards now face added restrictions such as a requirement to buy a minimum number of items with cash before using them.

It looks as though Blizzard Entertainment in Australia have come to the rescue for Diablo III pre-orders, however, and a spokesman has said that “we’re sorry to hear that some of our players have been affected by GAME Australia’s current situation on the eve of Diablo III’s launch, and have some help available to those affected.” Click on the link to find out more: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5007290816

Official Diablo III Strategy Guides Now Available

Bioshock Infinite release date announced

2K Games announced today that BioShock Infinite from Irrational Games is now planned to launch worldwide on February 26, 2013.

In this first-person shooter, the player assumes the role of former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, who is sent to Columbia to rescue Elizabeth, a young woman imprisoned there since childhood. He develops a relationship with Elizabeth, augmenting his abilities with hers so they may escape from a city literally falling from the sky. DeWitt learns to fight foes in high-speed Sky-Line battles, engage in combat both indoors and amongst the clouds, and harnesses the power of dozens of new weapons and abilities.

BioShock Infinite is in development for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, and is not yet rated by the ESRB. Anyone else excited for this release, but a bit unsure about the storyline?

Explore Endless Space in new game for PC

Independent videogames publisher Iceberg Interactive has announced its publishing agreement for Endless Space, the highly anticipated 4x space strategy game for PC, with Paris-based videogames developer Amplitude Studios. Recently released by Amplitude for pre-order on Steam, Iceberg will now be bringing the game to other digital download portals over the coming weeks and has set a retail release date of 24 August 2012.

The game will be a space strategy game, with stunning graphics, and absorbing storyline and a host of features including,

New video of The Testament of Sherlock Holmes

Focus Home Interactive, the makers of the upcoming title The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, have announced a release date: September this year. The game will be available on release for PC,PS3 and X360. The game will be playable with a gamepad in a 3rd person view.

The company says that the new game engine was “specially built to display complex scenes and high-resolution textures. The game features lush, captivating environments and truly raises the bar for console adventure games.

The complex and decidedly-mature storyline surrounds a particularly tricky investigation, in which each and every puzzle will challenge both insight and wits! As Sherlock Holmes, you will use the detective’s full repertoire: handle and inspect clues, reenact crimes and use the game’s new deduction system to draw your own conclusions. Choose your questioning approach to catch characters off guard and gather valuable information. Players are facing an open investigation, and must decide which leads to follow and which to ignore.

1898, London. All the evidence of police investigation points at Sherlock Holmes as the main suspect in a case involving theft, fraud and double-crossings. Sniper Elite V2 in stores now

505 Games and independent game developer Rebellion today announced that Sniper Elite V2 has shipped to retail outlets. The game is a 3rd person tactical shooter set in the dying days of World War II. Players take on the role of undercover American OSS agent Karl Fairburne who must stalk enemy prey across key historical locations throughout Berlin and attempt to unravel the mysteries and dangers of the German V-2 rocket program before it falls into the hands of Stalin’s Red Army.
