The setting is Derceto, an eerie plantation manor deep in the bayous of Louisiana.
Players take on the role of either Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood, both arriving at the ominous estate under mysterious circumstances in the roaring 20s. The narrative has been crafted by Mikael Hedberg, known for his work on atmospheric horror games like SOMA and Amnesia. Fans can expect a deep, psychologically-driven story that peels back the dark history of the manor and its inhabitants.
Tactical Survival Horror Gameplay
Alone in the Dark brings back classic survival horror mechanics with a modern polish. Resources like ammo and healing items are extremely limited, forcing players to avoid combat when possible and act decisively when forced to fight.
