Owlcat Games has launched their latest title in the acclaimed Warhammer 40,000 universe. Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is now available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This new release allows players to step into the shoes of a Rogue Trader leading a motley crew on a starfaring voyage into the depths of space.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader Gameplay
In Rogue Trader, you take command of your own voidship and crew as you venture forth into the Koronus Expanse located on the fringes of the Warhammer 40,000 Imperium. As a Rogue Trader, you have significant autonomy and freedom to operate outside of Imperial constraints. This enables you to engage in gunboat diplomacy missions, tactical turn-based combat, massive voidship battles, and more alongside your crew.
Your success and survival is tied directly to those who sail by your side. Your crew can consist of a diverse range of characters from the Warhammer 40,000 universe including tech-priests, daemonhosts, mutants, and more. The relationships and dynamics between crew members will impact the story as it unfolds.
Where will the Stars Take You?
While voyaging through the Koronus Expanse, your choices will shape your journey and determine whether you emerge as a champion of the Imperium, a renegade corsair, or even a harbinger of Chaos. Rogue Trader offers three distinct story paths, so how you interact with your crew and handle the decisions before you will ultimately steer the narrative.
Owlcat Games has provided Rogue Trader players with plenty of freedom to explore the massive star sector as they desire. You can expect your adventure to be filled with rich stories and branching possibilities that react to the choices you make. This variety encourages replayability so you can continually experience new outcomes.
Is There Multiplayer In Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader?
While Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is currently only single player on consoles, multiplayer co-op functionality is slated to arrive in the future. The PC edition does include co-op on launch for up to four players to adventure together. Owlcat Games stated that additional platforms will gain co-op through an upcoming patch.
