Nunu and Willump set off on a new trail
Riot Forge has announced that Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story will be hitting PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on January 31st, 2024. The touching single-player adventure game lets players take control of the beloved League of Legends champions Nunu and Willump as they embark on a journey across the frigid Freljord region.
An Emotional Story-Driven Adventure
In Song of Nunu, players will guide the daring duo through the frostbitten landscape of their homeland – the Freljord. Players must utilize Nunu’s trickery and Willump’s brute strength to overcome obstacles, solve environmental puzzles, and survive the harsh conditions of the Freljord. Along the way, Nunu and Willump will meet other legendary League champions like Braum and Anivia and discover long-lost secrets frozen beneath the ice.
I’m actually MR7 on Nunu in League, the pair is one of the only champs who’s voices I don’t mute. There’s something so charming about the duo being so excited to roll a lane-sized snowball down mid before picking up a tower and a dragon.
Climbing, Hiking and Sledging Through Treacherous Terrain
Song of Nunu features expansive 3D levels for players to explore, with areas ranging from mountain peaks to frozen tundra. Nunu can climb cliffs, swing across gaps, and find footholds for Willump’s mighty leaps. Unique puzzle mechanics also involve maneuvering the final yeti as a makeshift sledge to zoom down slippery slopes.
This light-hearted adventure takes the dynamic duo through some wild stuff, so it’s always good to be able to relax at a campfire and take a load off for a little while.
Launching on Major Consoles
Originally launched on Nintendo Switch, Steam, GoG and the Epic Games Store, Song of Nunu arrives on major consoles just in time for players to accompany Nunu and Willump on their unforgettable journey. Now PlayStation and Xbox gamers can join in on the heartwarming adventure.
The game will be sold digitally for $29.99. A Collector’s Edition packed with Freljord-themed goodies like plushies, art books, and more is also available for $99.99.
