Activision, with Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games, will release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III on November 10, 2023.
The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC through Battle.net and Steam. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III offers an immersive and action-packed warfare experience.
Non-Stop Adrenaline Rush With An Immersive Campaign
Modern Warfare III brings back the fast-paced, heart-pumping gunplay that the Call of Duty franchise is known for. Players can expect intense firefights, epic explosions, and non-stop combat across campaigns and multiplayer maps.
This direct sequel to Modern Warfare II picks up right where the cliffhanger left off. Players will follow Captain Price and Task Force 141 as they face the threat of Vladimir Makarov’s forces. The immersive campaign gameplay will take you through open-ended missions across the world.
With updated movement mechanics, the return of features like map voting, and a classic minimap with red dots, Modern Warfare III balances innovation with the core elements that make these games so fun to play. Whether you like close-quarters battle or long-range sniping, there’s an exhilarating experience waiting for you.
Utilizing the engine that was built from the ground up for next-gen consoles for 2022’s mega-hit, Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III leverages the power of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Cutting-edge visuals, ray tracing effects, 4K graphics, and (hopefully) buttery-smooth frame rates bring the action to life like never before.

Explosive effects like smoke and fire look incredibly realistic. Detailed weapon models, fluid animations, and photorealistic environments create an immersive world around you.
Packed With Content: Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies
On top of a full single-player campaign, multiplayer, and zombies mode, Modern Warfare III comes loaded with extras. Players who pre-order get instant access to the Zombie Ghost Operator skin, Soul Harvester weapon blueprint, and can start playing the campaign early.
The Modern Warfare III Vault Edition takes it further with the included Nemesis Operator Pack and two Weapon Vaults. It also gives you early access to the Season 1 Battle Pass. There’s enough content here to keep you entertained well beyond launch day.
Welcome Back, Old Friends
This sequel will launch with 16 6v6 reimagined versions of classic Modern Warfare 2 maps.
Long-time fans will get a nostalgic thrill playing these enhanced versions of maps like Rust, Terminal, Highrise, and Skidrow. There are also new massive Ground War maps to wage large-scale battles on.

It’s expected that 12 brand new 6v6 maps will be added to the game after its launch with Season updates.

- Launch Facility (War Map)
- Orlov Military Base (Ground War/Invasion)
- Popov Powerplant (Ground War/Invasion)

Enter The Zombie Warzone
For the first time ever, the blockbuster Modern Warfare series is getting a Zombies mode. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III has collaborated with Treyarch Studios to bring a unique open-world Zombies experience to the military shooter franchise.
Gear Up For Cooperative Zombies Mayhem
On November 10, 2023, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will introduce a completely new Zombies gameplay mode.
Developed in partnership between Treyarch Studios and Sledgehammer Games, MWIII’s Zombies mode moves away from the traditional round-based formula seen in Black Ops. Instead, it focuses on open-world survival with up to 24 players teaming up in squads.
Fight The Undead in an Open World
The Zombies gameplay will take place on a transformed version of the Warzone Urzikstan map. This will be the biggest Zombies map ever in a Call of Duty game, set in the expansive open world environment.
Players must work cooperatively, using gameplay elements from modes like DMZ and Outbreak, to survive against waves of zombies and living enemies. The map includes features like Zones showing difficulty levels, exfiltration countdowns, Pack-a-Punch machines, and mystery boxes.
Uncover Dark Secrets And Battle The Hordes
For the first time, Zombies will introduce an overarching story and lore into Modern Warfare. A cinematic trailer showcases Operators teaming up with Task Force 141 to combat zombies powered by a dangerous new substance called Aetherium.
This merges the Black Ops Zombies fictional universe with the Modern Warfare world. Classic Easter egg quests and more story details will be added post-launch. The stakes have never been higher as players take on both the undead and threatening living foes.
